Semi Truck and trailer repair shop is looking for a Lead Diesel Mechanic / Foreman .
Job Description :
Work as a lead mechanic and manage a team of technicians or mechanics, providing guidance, support, and training as needed. Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical issues or problems, providing technical expertise and guidance to technicians. Allocate work assignments to technicians and ensure that work is performed in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and completed repairs to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications. Monitor and review the progress of work orders, ensuring that deadlines are met and any issues or delays are promptly addressed.
Required Skills :
Excellent technical knowledge and expertise in semi-truck and trailer ,machinery or relevant mechanical systems. Proficient in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical issues or problems. Sound decision-making skills, with the ability to make informed judgments and handle unexpected situations or challenges.Proven experience as a technician or mechanic, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and repair procedures. Strong knowledge of shop equipment and tools, including diagnostic equipment and hand tools. Certification or licensure in relevant areas, such as Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification, is a plus.
