Description We are looking for a diligent and proficient Cost Accounting Manager to join our team in Galt, California. In this role, you will be focused on maintaining and enhancing the accounting system, managing all accounting functions, and working closely with the auditing process. This role presents a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Oversee the construction and maintenance of the chart of accounts Direct the establishment and maintenance of a cost-based accounting system Supervise the creation and upkeep of an asset list and depreciation schedule Play a key role in the auditing process and ensure adherence to budget processes Manage and monitor customer accounts, taking appropriate action when needed Oversee the Asset Inventory and ensure the correct application of Fixed Asset Depreciation.Requirements Applicant must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a cost accounting role. Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required. Detailed understanding of all Accounting Functions is necessary. Ability to conduct Auditing tasks is essential. Experience in managing Budget Processes is required. Expertise in Cost Accounting is a must. Proven experience in handling Audit tasks is needed. Proficiency in managing Year End Closings is required. Experience in Asset Accounting is necessary. Ability to handle Asset Inventory tasks is a must. Understanding of Depreciation Schedule management is required.
