Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the construction/contractor industry located in Garden Grove, California, 92841, United States. The Sr. Accountant will play a vital role in managing the company's financial activities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our accounting operations.Responsibilities: Assist in the generation of financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Manage and maintain records and receipts, ensuring every transaction is accurately recorded. Identify and reconcile discrepancies or errors by reviewing statements and checking the accuracy of business transactions. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings. Track bank deposit activity, post daily receipts, and prepare invoices. Assist in the development of budgetary and accounting policies. Prepare necessary documentation for audits, taxation, or similar financial activities. Maintain an organized system of accounting books, records, files, and documents. Utilize various accounting software and Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data. Perform account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations, general ledger management, and journal entries as part of month-end close procedures. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the construction or contractor industry Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations Solid understanding and experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries Proficient in Microsoft Excel Experience with Month End Close procedures Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Attention to detail and accuracy in all work detail oriented certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
