Night Hosts typically work alternating (e.g. 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off) but shifts are subject to change based on operational requirements. Shifts are scheduled and approved by the Supervisor in charge of scheduling.

A typical shift is as follows (this is for reference only and is subject to change based on operational requirements):

“Active Patrol” of Campground: 7:00pm-10:00pm, “On-Call” phone from close of office until the office opens in the morning.

“Active Patrol” of the campground requires you to be on-site and performing the tasks on the “Campground Patrolling Procedures” and “Night Host Daily Check List” documents and corresponding electronic system.

“On-Call” is for urgent phone calls to the after-hours extension from the close of the office until it opens the following morning. This does not require you to be on-site outside of the “Active Patrol” times listed above, however you must be able to answer the phone and return to camp within 30 minutes. If a call requires someone to address an issue at camp, the Night Host can either return to camp or, if this is not practical, call the Emergency Contact Manager to return to camp. All emergencies should be directed first to 911, then call the Emergency Contact Manager.
