Overview
We're looking for an energetic, hard working, team oriented individual to take over hygiene duties for Thursdays and possibly Wednesdays on a short term/temp basis with potential for permanent placement. The ideal candidate must get along well with a small team setting as well as care for patients on a very personal level. Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review and oral examinations.
Conduct dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth to maintain optimal oral hygiene.
Educate patients on proper oral care techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Review and maintain accurate documentation of patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Manage dental clinic operations, including sterilization of instruments and maintaining a clean work environment.
Stay updated on dental terminology and medical records management to ensure effective communication within the team.
Provide compassionate care to patients, making their experience as comfortable as possible.
Qualifications
Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
Proficiency in dental terminology and medical terminology is essential.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and documentation review processes.
Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively within a dental office setting.
Previous experience in a private dental office environment is a plus.
