The HR Generalist plays a vital role in supporting the workforce within a behavioral health organization. This position focuses on recruitment, onboarding, and HR data management to ensure a well-structured and compassionate workplace for employees serving individuals in need of mental health care.
Key Responsibilities:
-Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist in sourcing and hiring qualified behavioral health professionals, coordinate interviews, and facilitate onboarding to ensure new hires are well integrated into the team.
-Compliance Tracking: Monitoring employees’ licensure, certifications, and continuing education requirements to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.
-Employee HR File Management: Maintain accurate employee records, oversee the organization and maintenance of personnel files, ensuring confidentiality, compliance, and accessibility of employment records, certifications, and other essential documentation.
-Manage and process records requests: Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
-Special Projects: Assist with diverse organizational initiatives, including process improvements, system development, and conducting research inquiries, as directed by leadership.
-Organize and Execute Employee Events: such as summer picnics, holiday celebrations, retreats, and team-building activities, to enhance engagement and cultivate a supportive and positive workplace environment.
Qualifications:
-Preferred qualifications include an associate degree in human resources, HR-related college coursework, or a professional HR certification, though not required.
-Experience in human resources, preferably in a behavioral health or healthcare setting.
-Familiarity with HR best practices, workforce planning, and compliance requirements in the behavioral health field.
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with candidates, employees, and leadership effectively.
-Proficiency in technology, Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365, and tools for managing employee data and tracking professional certifications.
-Must be available during traditional business hours.
