City Wide Property Services, Inc. currently has an opening for a Day Porter to join our expanding team! For over two and a half decades, City Wide has been an industry leader in providing reliable, first-class maintenance, repairs, and day-to-day upkeep for commercial properties throughout the Western United States.
Job Summary:
A Day Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of facilities and commercial properties. Day Porters must identify safety hazards and work during regular business hours to ensure a welcoming environment for visitors and employees. This individual will have a working knowledge and understanding of maintenance cleaning practices and customer service.
Responsibilities
Wiping down trash receptacles and replacing trash can liners
Trash pickup around the entire parking lot, landscape areas, and dumpster enclosures
Cleaning dust on windowsills and wall spotting (interior and/or exterior)
De-webbing of building and doorways
Assisting in light maintenance work
Restroom care (if applicable as assigned property)
Sanitizing surfaces and refilling supplies as needed
Ensure the safe use of and performance of all equipment and performance of Enforce the use of uniforms and adhere to OSHA safety guidelines to ensure safety.
Adhering to working in a public setting and demonstrating a safe and friendly environment.
Maintaining equipment and storage areas in a neat, clean manner and in good working condition.
Daily upload of service photos at all sites into the company Portal to provide visual documentation of site conditions and all completed work.
Utilize company phone and software tools for communication, including emails, Teams chat, and Portal usage.
Reporting illegal dumping or other property concerns to Management.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred.
Valid driver’s license and car insurance (if traveling between work locations)
Comfortable working outside in various weather conditions.
Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
Reliable transportation to work
Capable of handling prolonged periods of walking across properties.
Ability to perform physical job duties including push/ carry supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
Proficient in independent work; highly self-driven.
Flexible with working additional hours and schedule modifications to accommodate customer requests
