We are looking for healthy, well rounded, good natured, mature people who like to work hard and who we can trust. We need people who come to work on time prepared for the day. Farm experience is great, but not required for this position. Physical work experience or a sports background are important as farming is a very physically demanding job.

Working on the farm requires the ability to lift 40-50lbs repeatedly, kneeling, squatting, standing for long periods of time, and moving quickly from one task to the next. Work must be done in all weather conditions; hot, sunny and potentially smokey as well as cold and rainy conditions. Please consider this carefully before applying. We are seeking hardy folks who can work gracefully with others and meet the many challenges of farm work with good humor.

All crew members must:

Come to work on time dependably

Have a working cell phone for communication

Be able to follow instructions and pay attention to detail

Be physically fit and able to lift 40-50lbs repeatedly

Be able to cope with the many challenges of farm work

Be able to encourage others and see the good in other people

Be able to gracefully accept constructive criticism

Be able to communicate clearly with other crew members and managers

Schedule

Start Date: Beginning of March

End Date: Mid November, potential for year round work exists

Work Days: Monday-Friday

Work Hours: 7.5-8 hour work day with a 1 hour unpaid lunch

Work start/end: Seasonally dependent, but generally 7-3:30 or 4

Compensation:

$17/hour. We pay overtime at 8hours/day and 40hours/week. For every 30 hours worked, 1 hour of sick time is earned which can be used to pay for time taken off due to sickness. Crew members are welcome to take home fresh produce from the abundance of the farm and welcome to purchase bread and fruit from farms we regularly work with at a discounted price.

Please fill out the Farm Crew Member Application to be considered for hire. Thanks for your interest in the farm!
