Responsibilities & Daily Tasks:
● Check in with department lead and Slack for any important updates & priority tasks
● Communicate with wholesale shipper for their priorities and requests
● Stock shipping room bins with labeled products / Assess what needs labeling
● Support in Inventory & Back Stock
● Batch track product as it is completed by the Making department
● Rotate stock; Place newer units of products toward the back/bottom of the shelves
● Ensure proper standards & quality control have been upheld
● Label and package products for associates as requested
● Prepping shipping material (Ex: Building out boxes, prepping packing paper, etc)
● Work with corrugating machine
● Maintain tidy workspaces
● Powder prep: Building & prepping shakers & pouches for powdered products
● Keep the product shelves and merchandise area clean and organized!
● Any other means of assistance or various tasks as delegated by others in the Shipping Dept.
● Cleaning & sanitizing your workstation before leaving
● Ensure a secure lock up if closing
● Using shipping platform (Shipstation) to pack shipments
● Ship Fat and the Moon potions via Shipstation to our amazing customers
● MISC: Must be able to lift/move boxes and bags up to 50 lbs safely
Fat and the Moon is a growing small business making herbal body care products in Nevada City, CA. We
are looking to hire a Retail Shipper/Shipping Support representative that is proficient in the above
requirements, computer savvy & has great attention to detail. The ideal team member would be a
motivated self-starter, problem solver and can work without constant supervision in a fast-paced
environment.
This position would begin at 32 hours per week, with a possibility of flexibility. You would be working on
the ground at our physical location in Nevada City.
