We are an industry-leading sculpture studio specializing in high-end recognition awards. We have a national reputation for producing creative, innovative custom awards for an A-list set of corporate clients. We offer a dynamic, creative and flexible work environment located in the beautiful Sierra Nevada foothills near Placerville, CA.

We are looking for an account manager to work with clients from initial inquiry all of the way through project completion. There are both pre-sales and post-sales components to this role. From a pre-sales perspective, you will be responsible for responding to potential clients when they make a purchase inquiry via phone or email, assessing their needs, and then developing a specific quote/proposal that meets these requirements. From a post-sales perspective, you will serve as a project manager to ensure that the clients award project gets produced and delivered on time and on budget. This will entail working with clients, designers, and outside production vendors.

Initially, you will support a group of senior Account Supervisors on the projects they have taken the lead on. Over time, as you become knowledgeable about our business, you will assume responsibility for your own accounts.

The successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be extremely client-service oriented. The candidate must also be very creative and have an excellent eye for design. Finally, the candidate must be very organized and detail-oriented. This truly is a position for someone with a balanced left brain / right brain orientation.

The position will entail approximately 30hours per week, and offers flexible hours between the hours of 9am and 5pm Monday through Thursday (our office is closed Fridays). Some weeks may require additional time and/or days to ensure client projects stay on track.

Responsibilities

Support current Account Supervisors on client projects.

Respond to inbound client inquiries received via phone and email.

Work with potential clients to understand their specific needs and requirements.

Work with internal and external designers and production companies to develop client quotes and proposals.

Manage award projects (both in-stock and custom awards) from initial conception all of the way through production, shipment, and payment.

Ensure award projects stay on schedule. Interface with clients and suppliers to make sure all components of the project are on track.

Support Account Supervisors as needed “ may involve a variety of tasks, including packaging, pick-ups, deliveries, etc.

Qualifications

Strong communication skills “ both written and verbal.

Very organized; detail-oriented; strong project management skills.

High-energy, positive, can-do attitude.

Able to maintain a positive demeanor while working under pressure and deadlines.

Personable and friendly.

Creative, artistic, and a keen eye for design.

Able to balance receptiveness for customer requirements with a realistic perspective of what can be done given a set budget and deadline.

Customer-service oriented, yet still confident in saying no when required.

Reliable and dependable.

Computer-savvy (email, MS Office, file sharing, etc.).

2+ years work experience; will consider recent college graduates with the right skill set.

Bachelor of Arts degree in a marketing or sales-related field strongly preferred.
