Geoship (www.geoship.is) is a startup manufacturing company focused on manufacturing regenerative homes. We're hiring a CNC Machinist.
Responsibilities
Translate a SolidWorks model into G-Code and operate a 3-axis CNC Mill for prototyping.
Excellent attention to detail, eye and heart to craft.
Mold design, and composites production.
Ability to work through challenges in a rapid prototyping environment.
Get your hands in the craft, experience how the part works, and participate in design improvements.
Contribute to an emerging culture of community building, evolutionary design, manufacturing excellence, and compassionate service.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of CNC programming experience using MasterCam or CAMWorks software.
1+ years of experience CNC machinist experience.
Preferred Skills and Experience
7+ years of experience programming and operating CNC machines.
Experience using basic inspection tools such as micrometers, thread gauges and indicators.
Team Player with ability to work independently under minimal guidance.
Consistently demonstrate ability to meet deadlines.
“Get it done” approach to a wide range of basic shop tasks.
Ability to build trust and be accountable within a highly productive team.
Experience with Lean manufacturing and 5S principles
Experience in a pilot production environment with hands on experience fabricating assemblies for prototype development.
Able to adapt to constant changing work assignments and fast paced work environment
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills
Excellent concentration and attention to detail with outstanding work efficiency and accuracy
Additional Requirements
Must live in Nevada County, or be willing to relocate.
