Job Title: Farmers Market Booth Worker
Location: Nevada City Farmers Market, Downtown Nevada City, CA
Schedule: Saturdays, 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM (8 hours), through October 2025; plus Victorian Christmas events (Sundays and Wednesday nights in December, 5–9 PM)
Pay:
Solo Days (Saturdays mid August to mid October): $15/hr ($120/day) + 10% commission on sales (est. $10–$25/day, total $130–$145/day)
Shared Days (Victorian Christmas): Up to $20/hr ($80–$100 per 4–5 hr shift, no commission)
Start Date: Immediate, training provided through mid-August
BiciArte, a unique jewelry booth featuring handcrafted pieces from repurposed bicycle parts, is hiring a reliable, enthusiastic worker to manage our booth at the Nevada City Farmers Market through October 2025, plus Victorian Christmas events in December. Job Responsibilities:
Pick up booth materials in Rough and Ready at 6:30 AM (own transportation required).
Set up a minimalist booth (one folding table, displays, signage) by 8:30 AM.
Engage customers, share the BiciArte story (sustainable jewelry inspired by cycling culture), and sell jewelry priced $49–$2,500.
Handle payments (cash, card, mobile apps) and track sales accurately.
Break down the booth at 1:00 PM and return materials to Rough and Ready by 2:30 PM.
Keep the booth inviting and professional, reflecting our sustainable values.
Requirements:
Own reliable transportation to pick up and drop off booth materials in Rough and Ready.
Comfortable with early mornings and light physical tasks (lifting 20 lbs for setup).
Friendly, outgoing personality with strong customer service skills.
Passion for jewelry, artisan craft, or farmers markets (experience is a plus but not required).
Firm commitment to Saturdays through October 2025, plus Victorian Christmas (3–4 dates in December, 4–5 hrs each).
No prior sales experience needed; training provided for 4 weeks through mid-August.
