We are looking for someone with great writing skills who can write appropriately to different specific grade levels. We want articles to engage, excite, and get students interested in the topic or passage. We will provide topics, but you are free to write on other topics that are also appropriate and have not been written on. 5-12 Questions and answers (multiple choice) will also need to be written based on the article written. This job is perfect for someone looking to open the world of reading for the next generation of students.
Please submit a resume and any writing examples. If you look like a good fit, we will email you further instructions and examples. To start, we will have you write 1-2 reading selections (1-2 hours of work) that we can review. We will provide topics. You will need to briefly research (online) and cite your references.

With this tool, you will take the average reading level score that is returned.
Reading Selection Lengths Based on Grade Level:
Grade 1: 120-170 words
Grade 2: 150-220 words
Grade 3: 175-250 words
Grade 4: 250-450 words
Grade 5: 300-500 words
Grade 6: 350-700 words
Grade 7: 400-800 words
Grade 8: 400-800 words
