Veev is in search of a Licensed Mechanical Engineer who is a creative problem solver, forward thinker, and thrilled to be a critical member of a cutting-edge, vertically integrated company. You will be instrumental in designing prefabricated building systems with an international team to build the next wave of exceptional living. As part of a global design team you will be a critical liaison between the factory, site, code authorities, and the design team. You will be involved at every stage of a project as you use your creativity and innovation to come up with product level solutions to traditional challenges.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provide technical mechanical engineering expertise and building design project leadership
Interface and manage the outside consultants for production of calculations, equipment selection, and routing coordination for mechanical systems suitable for modular pre-fab constructions
Ensure requirements from the factory and field are incorporated into the mechanical systems design
Quality control for your team's design deliverables
Communicate clearly and proactively across a global design team
Support internal research and development efforts, including prototyping
Site visits and field reports
Negotiate as necessary with code authorities
Requirements, Knowledge and Experience
Expertise in California codes and standards
Current P.E. License in California favored
Bachelor Degree in Engineering
5+ years of mechanical engineering supporting a diverse portfolio of projects and responsibilities
Experience in mechanical design for residential and multifamily housing
Expertise in California codes and standards
Experience in designing in Revit
Knowledge of plumbing design is desirable
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
