Accounting Supervisor

Description We are looking for an Accounting Supervisor in the Hospitality industry, based in Hopland, California, 95449, United States. In this role, you will be overseeing the financial policies and procedures, as well as supervising the financial functions including accounting, budgeting, and tax. You will also be responsible for coordinating a variety of accounting and statistical data reports.Responsibilities: Oversee all financial functions including financial planning, maintaining financial accountability, and ensuring compliance with funding sources. Supervise the administration of the accounting for different departments. Prepare the annual budget for various departments. Supervise and control personnel in the finance office. Oversee all accounting functions and collection of taxes, fees, and customer accounts. Manage cash flow for the various agencies. Ensure accounting adheres to GAPP+ GASB. Administer laws and ordinances pertaining to taxes, licenses, permits, and fees. Manage budgetary control over expenditures to ensure they do not exceed anticipated expenditures or actual receipts. Serve as the custodian of all business and accounting records. Prepare and issue financial statements, cash flow projections, accounts receivable, aging reports, and statistical reports on a monthly and annual basis. Requirements Proven experience in the hospitality industry as an Accounting Supervisor or similar role for a minimum of 3 years Proficient in Accounting Functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience with Auditing procedures Knowledge of accounting software such as Abila MIP and Microix Expertise in Microsoft Excel for financial calculations and reporting Familiarity with Government Grants and Grant Accounting procedures Experience in Financial Control practices and Financial Reporting Ability to Prepare Budgets and manage Program Budgets effectively Proficient in Variance Analysis to identify and explain financial performance discrepancies Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field is preferred Certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus.For immediate consideration, please call Amanda Howell at 707-578-3355.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
