YouthAbility Thrift Shop in Arcata is hiring for a part time retail clerk, 15-20 hours a week. We are a large and busy thrift shop that also runs an in house training program for youth ages 16-24 with barriers to independence. We are looking for someone to support our team on the weekends, our busiest days, and pick up shifts when needed. You would be running the register mostly, tagging items and organizing the sales floor.

The details:
- 15-20 hrs a week
- Saturday and Sunday shifts required
- Opening (10 am) and closing (6 pm) shifts required
- Start date ASAP
- Starting wage $17/hr
Requirements:
- Cash handling skills/ Cashier experience
- Reliable, punctual, self motivated to work hard
- Organizational skills
- Able to lift 50 lbs consistently. This job requires lifting /sorting / dealing with massive amounts of donations so this isn't just a formality. You really have to be able to help us move things every day .
- A love of thrifting and ability to deal with gross/funky stuff. Donations can be dirty, gross, smelly, or otherwise funky . This is a jeans and boots situation. We deal with trash, the dump, and cleaning daily.
- A good attitude ! We strive for an impeccable vibe as priority #1 and we are a SAFE space for everyone who walks through the doors.
