Freshwater School is looking for motivated and positive individuals to join our team as an After School Program Leader, TK Leader or Behavioral Support Leader.

After School Program Leader:

Are you looking for a FUN, challenging and rewarding opportunity working with children ages TK-8th grade? The Freshwater After School Program is currently seeking strong applicants for a Leader position on our team. Candidates must be responsible, reliable and organized with a solid work ethic. Must enjoy working with and developing strong relationships with children and be willing to continue growth and learning in this field. Experience preferred.

Ideal candidate is available to work Monday - Friday with open availability between the hours of 1 - 6pm. (some flexibility can be provided)

Starting from $17- $19 DOE - with placement on salary schedule

Potential for increase in hours or position opportunities for the right candidate

Up to 8 hours/day summer weeks - great opportunity for extra summer work!

After School Program TK Lead:

The Freshwater After School Program is seeking a qualified candidate to Lead the TK/K group of after school students at Freshwater Elementary School. Must have 12 ECE units or 3 years of prior experience in a preschool setting with a desire to expand and develop leadership skills. The TK Lead will be responsible for the curriculum development and activity planning for this age group - ensuring it is scaffolded to meet the needs of our youngest students. Emphasis will be placed on literacy, language and verbal development, gross and fine motor skill development, social emotional learning (SEL) and play-based opportunities for students to foster positive social development and holistic skill building. This Lead position will oversee other staff Leaders in the program who will be working closely with this age group, maintain the proper 1:10 ratio at all times, and assist with recruitment of individuals pursuing early elementary education or child development certification by assisting with outreach and participating in the interview process.

Ideal candidate is available to work Monday - Friday with open availability between the hours of 12 - 6pm.

After School Program Behavioral Support Leader (or SCIA Leader):

The Freshwater After School Program is seeking a strong, experienced and qualified candidate for behavioral support (or, SCIA - Special Circumstances Instructional Assistance)

for students attending our afternoon program. The ideal applicant will possess previous or current experience as a SCIA with a desire to learn and develop relationships with our students in order to gain trust and be able to support and assist them so their participation is successful and meaningful during their time in the program. Similar to a 1:1, but serving a larger capacity, this candidate will float and support any student needs during the program operations. Must be reliable, organized and flexible with a strong work ethic and be willing to be part of a team.

Ideal candidate is available to work Monday - Friday with open availability between the hours of 1:30-5:30.

Starting from $18 - $20 DOE - with placement on salary schedule

Requires graduation from high school or equivalent and one year of experience working with children in grades TK-8 or have college training related to child development. Must enjoy working with children and have a desire to be part of a collaborative team.
