ABA Humboldt is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as an ABA Technician in Mckinleyville, CA. As an ABA Technician, you will have the opportunity to work one on one with clients in various settings, including home after school programs, select schools, and our clinic. This part-time position offers a starting pay of $23 to $25 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
- Provide one on one ABA therapy to clients
- Collect data on client progress and behavior
- Assist clients with skill acquisition and behavior management
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients' families
-Have the opportunity to become a Registered Behavior Technician with training and supervision
Requirements:
- Bachelors in Special Education, Psychology, or related field
- Previous experience working with individuals with special needs preferred
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) preferred or willingness to be certified
- Ability to pass a background check (Note: ABA Humboldt complies with regulations prohibiting inquiries about criminal backgrounds)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to travel as South as Scotia and as North as Mckinleyville. Applicants willing to drive will start at the higher range of pay and paid drive time. They will also be prioritized for hire.
ABA Supervisor Positions are also available for those interested in a Career in ABA. BCBA Supervision is available for the right candidate who has a passion for a Career as a BCBA. Rate of Pay is based on Education and Experience, but will start above the hourly rate listed.
