We are hiring a new fully qualified Primary Care Teacher in our Toddler Classroom!

The Teacher is responsible for the care and supervision of all children at all times and ensuring a calm and welcoming classroom environment. The Associate Teacher will record observations on the children's development and interests in order to develop and implement curriculum. The Teacher will lead small groups of children in activities, share the responsibility of leading transitions, and assist with the cleaning and organization of classroom. The Teacher will also help to foster positive relationships with parents and the community by presenting a professional appearance and manner while at work, greeting parents, and commenting on positive aspects of their child's behavior or activities throughout the day. The Teacher also is responsible for communicating important or challenging information to parents at the end of the day in a tactful way.

Qualifications: 6 units or 12 units of E.C.E. Assistant or Associate teacher permit or above preferred. Montessori and Reggio Emillia experience and familiarity with Developmentally Appropriate Practices and Responsive Caregiving is preferred. Must have at least one year experience in a preschool setting or Infant Toddler setting and current CPR training. Must have the ability to pass the livescan fingerprint clearance and TB test. Must be self motivated, hard working, good team player, have strong written and verbal communication skills, and enjoy working with adults and children. Must be capable of handling all aspects of the position including the ability to lead groups of children outdoors and in, communicate and document children's classroom experience via monthly parent reports, implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, maintain a clean and tidy classroom with appropriate decoration, and work independently and as a team to plan curriculum.

We also have an assistant teacher or aide position available:

Primary Care Aides/Assistant Teachers will have a small group of children in their care under the direct supervision of the Lead Teacher. Aides/Assistant teachers will support the classroom teachers through work in the classroom and prep work in the kitchen. Daily classroom time, snack preparation and clean up, dishes, diapers, and outdoor activities. Aides will learn classroom management techniques, assist teachers in creating and implementing curriculum activities, communicate with parents, document children's learning through photos, observations, and saved artwork, and work with children in small groups under the direct supervision of classroom teachers.
