Join Lost Coast Brewery as our Taproom & Gift Store Lead Associate!
Job Description:
The focus of this position is to ensure that all of our customers have the best possible experience in the brewery’s taproom, gift store, the upstairs event room, and while on tours within the facility. Our taproom associate strives to delight customers with our compelling culture, spirit, and unique customer experience. This position is expected to be approximately 30-35 hours a week, with more hours available on some evenings for special events. We are looking for someone with flexible availability from Wednesday through Sunday.
The associate will be responsible for opening and closing the gift store and taproom, including tasks such as cleaning, setting up tables, balancing the register, and nightly recording of transactions and deposits. Daily operation of the gift store and taproom entails ordering supplies, serving beer, ice cream, and other snacks to customers, assisting with keg orders and deposits, and leading brewery tours. The associate will also assist with special events in the upstairs event room and occasionally off-site, during festivals and local beer-tasting events.
Desired knowledge & skills:
Interest in the craft beer industry
Prior retail experience is a plus
Professional, courteous, and effective communication with employees and the general public is a must!
Experience in a fast-paced environment and the ability to multitask
Ability to move up to 30 pounds
Ability to remain stationary for long periods of time
Candidates must be 21 and have an ABC pouring permit to pour beer in the taproom and a current Food Handlers Certificate to serve ice cream.
