Ophthalmic Scribe
Employment Type: Part-Time to Full-Time (4–5 days per week)
Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour
Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Scribe to join our fast-paced ophthalmology practice. The ideal candidate will assist physicians by accurately documenting patient encounters in real time and supporting efficient clinical workflow. Prior experience is preferred, but motivated candidates with strong skills are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
Accurately document patient histories, examinations, procedures, and treatment plans
Enter medical information into the electronic health record (EHR) in real time
Utilize medical terminology and ophthalmic abbreviations correctly
Listen attentively and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced clinical environment
Maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Support clinic flow and adapt to schedule changes as needed
Qualifications:
Previous ophthalmic scribing or medical scribing experience preferred
Strong typing skills with excellent spelling and grammar
Ability to listen, process, and document information quickly and accurately
Familiarity with medical terminology and abbreviations
Comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office
Dependable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling
Ability to stay late when necessary
Schedule:
4–5 days per week
Must have flexibility to stay late as needed
Compensation:
Starting at $20.00 per hour, based on experience
