Excellent opportunity for a versatile, team-oriented RN, who takes a holistic approach to providing and facilitating care for our members. Utilize your nursing knowledge and experience to promote quality healthcare in the IPA Medical Management department. This position works closely with an interdisciplinary team including the Medical Director, MD, Nurse Practitioner, RN Diabetes Educator, Behavioral Therapist and Wellness Coaches, to ensure members get the right care, at the right time by the right provider. The Medical Management Department is responsible for processing authorization requests for services and ensuring that they meet criteria for medical necessity through review of supporting medical documentation, use of appropriate guidelines and evidence based practices to support decision making. Computer literacy and EMR experience are necessary, as much of the required work will be computer-based.
Part- time position. Wage range $32.00 - $37.00 per hour DOE
Additional hours may be available in other departments within the IPA.
