Orchardist/gardener needed. The job entails garden and building maintenance. The emphasis is on caring for apple orchard, berries and other fruits growing plants and a diverse perennial garden. Applicant must have a good knowledge of the drip irrigation installation and maintenance. This job is best for a person who loves plants and wants to learn about their care. You must have the passion for plants in order to succeed at this job. Other skills include use of chainsaw, small engine maintenance, minor plumbing skills and ability to work on your own without a lot of supervision.
- Caring for apple orchard and other fruit growing plants. Be able to keep up a spray schedule, prune, tie up limbs and vines.
- Caring for a perennial garden with lots of roses and other shrubs and flowering plants. Weeding, spraying and watering.
- The installation and maintenance of drip irrigation systems.
- Building maintenance which entails minor repairs, painting, pressure washing, repairing faucets, keeping parking lot clean. Basically keeping the exterior of buildings in good repair.
Skills that will be helpful include use of chainsaw, small engine maintenance, minor plumbing skills and ability to work on your own without a lot of supervision. Must have transportation and valid drivers license.
