We are an established law firm seeking a Legal Secretary who will play a pivotal role on our legal team. The Legal Secretary provides clerical support to our attorneys and paralegals. Your responsibilities encompass a wide range of critical tasks, including the preparation of court documents, working with clients, and maintaining well-organized records.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
3 to 5 years experience working as a Legal Secretary in a law firm preferred
Minimum AA or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Microsoft Word but including Outlook and Excel
Ability to manage a large volume of data and input data accurately
Able to work in a paperless office setting, including ability to organize digital files
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong sense of discretion and integrity
Positive attitude and capacity to collaborate with team members
Familiar with various court rules, e-filing procedures, and the ability to manage and accurately track deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Able to maintain a professional demeanor with both clients and colleagues
Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with meticulous attention to detail
WORK SCHEDULE
This position is fully onsite - Monday through Friday – 35 hours a week. We are located close to the Courthouse in Eureka.
SALARY AND APPLICATION:
We offer competitive compensation, ranging from $25.00 to $34.00 per hour, depending on experience. Full-time employees qualify for health benefits and 401k contribution matching.
