Lost Coast Brewery is looking to hire a Packaging Operator and Filler Operator for our production facility. The ideal candidates will be a self-starter who are willing to learn and go above and beyond. We are looking for employees who enjoy working, take pride in their work, and will be an important part of our growing company.
These are Full Time / Benefited positions, 30-40 hours per week; generally scheduled full shifts fall between 7 AM and 5 PM.
Duties Include:
Running automated machinery - either cardboard/carrier packaging equipment or kegging/canning/bottling machines (startup, running, shutdown) on a production schedule.
CIP and basic QA tasks may also be involved depending on the role.
Fill containers with the required number of products before packaging and shipping.
Operators are expected to be able to troubleshoot basic mechanical problems during operations and make small adjustments and repairs as appropriate.
Other tasks include cleaning/organizing packaging materials, cleaning parts of the warehouse, routine inspection, report preparation, and training and working in other areas of production.
Education and Experience Required:
- At minimum a high school diploma or GED (higher education is a plus)
- Related work experience in a manufacturing environment
- Basic math skills
We Prefer:
- A valid driver's license
- Forklift experience
- Brewing industry experience
- Experience with PLC/HMI controls
- Mechanical experience
Work Environment:
The brewery warehouse can be a loud, wet environment. Candidates must be able to remain stationary for long periods of time, traverse the warehouse quickly yet safely, and lift/move up to 50 lbs. frequently (mechanical equipment is available for heavier loads).
