The Humboldt Senior Resource Center is looking for a full-time Community Supports Coordinator. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to get into social work. The schedule is tentatively Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm; however, there is room for flexibility with the schedule.
The Community Supports Coordinator gets to provide information about supports and resources available to aging populations offered by various public and private agencies, community groups, and non-profits. This position researches and refers clients to services, programs, and benefits available to adults 55 years and older, and follows through with the process to make sure applications are completed and received. It is important for the person in this position to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with various public and private service agencies, community groups, and nonprofits.
