Redwood Coast Regional Center is currently recruiting for an IDEA Specialist. Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Specialist will provide leadership towards the mission and vision of Redwood Coast Regional Center and promote the transition of young children into the public school system; ensure that standards are maintained; staff comply with regulations, policies and procedures; and that reports, statistics and other required documentation are accomplished and submitted in a timely and professional manner.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field and a minimum of five years in middle to upper management and increasingly responsible experience providing appropriate educational opportunities to young children. Teaching credential, administrative credential or similar credentials preferred. Preference will be given to experience in an agency serving people with developmental disabilities.
Overnight travel through the four county catchment area is required. Requires a valid California Driver's license, reliable transportation, minimum vehicle insurance as prescribed by law or the ability to provide for independent transportation.
