Northern California Association of Nonprofits (NorCAN) Program Coordinator
Reports to: Executive Team of the NorCAN Steering Committee
Hours: Part time, flexible, 12 hours per week
Salary: $23 per hour
Location: Work can be done remotely, but workspace may be available, and some regular NorCAN office hours may be required
Start Date: January 1, 2026
The Northern California Association of Nonprofits (NorCAN) is seeking a Program Coordinator to work 12 hours per week to support the association’s mission to serve the nonprofit sector on California’s rural North Coast. NorCAN’s primary focus is to foster professional excellence and promote connectedness among people and organizations that work every day to make our community healthy and strong.
The applicant should be a motivated self-starter who can work with little supervision and can work collaboratively with the Steering Committee. The applicant will be accountable for duties described in the job description below.
Required Qualifications:
Strong coordination and communication skills
Ability to concurrently manage multiple projects
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Basic knowledge of nonprofit structure and operations
Experience with event planning and coordination
Valid driver’s license (occasional local travel required for meetings, trainings, and events)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with website, listserv, and social media management
Graphic design experience in Canva or another graphics platform
Familiarity with Eventbrite or a similar event management program
Experience with fundraising or grant writing
