Legal Secretary

At Janssen Malloy LLP, we are seeking a Legal Secretary who will play a pivotal role in our legal team. As a Legal Secretary, you will provide clerical support to our attorneys and paralegals. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of critical tasks, including the preparation of court documents, acting as a liaison with clients, and maintaining well-organized records.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS

AA or BA from an accredited institution.

Proficiency with MS Office, and ability to work with legal technology.

Proficiency in various software applications, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Clio, Thompson Reuters

Outstanding time-management and organizational skills.

Ability to multitask and good judgement to seek guidance or further input from others.

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Strong sense of discretion and integrity.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Attention to detail to ensure precision in work.

Positive attitude and capacity to collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Able to serve as a trusted member of the firm and show a growth mind-set.

Familiar with various court rules, e-filing procedures, and the ability to manage and accurately track deadlines.

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Professionalism: Maintain a professional demeanor, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks

with meticulous attention to detail.

2 years of administrative experience is required, prior experience in the legal field is strongly preferred.

WORK SCHEDULE

This position is fully onsite - 5 days a week - 35-40 hours a week. Close to the Courthouse in Eureka.

SALARY AND APPLICATION:

We offer competitive compensation, ranging from $19.00 to $28.00 per hour, depending on experience. Full-time employees qualify for health benefits and 401k contribution matching.
