RMI Outdoors seeks a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual to add to our Service Team as a Parts and Service Advisor.
Essential Job Functions:
● Engage and consult with customers in person, on the phone, and via email.
● Write, edit, and complete repair orders
● Assist customers in identifying and ordering parts accurately and efficiently
● Assist customers on the sales floor
● Assist customers with picking up and dropping off equipment
Additional Job Functions:
● Parts ordering, creating purchase orders, pricing, and maintaining inventory
● Scheduling repairs, maintaining an efficient schedule
● Co-operative work with mechanics to complete work orders quickly and efficiently
● Communicating estimates, time estimates, policies and procedures with customers
● Upholding a line of communication and documenting customer communications
● Occasional merchandising and stocking shelves
Requirements:
● Some experience and knowledge of parts handling and parts diagrams
● Strong customer service and communication skills
● Basic computer skills are required, intermediate to advanced computer skills are a plus
● Attention to detail, thoroughness, and a desire to learn
● Multi-tasking & organization skills are essential
● Self-motivated, able to find tasks to complete when slow
● Mechanical inclination
● Cashier experience, money handling
● Problem-solving skills
● Ability to work in a team environment
Education/Experience:
● High school diploma or equivalent required
● Industry experience or related experience
● Basic technical knowledge of boats, outboard motors, power equipment, and trailers
