Arcata Cabinet & Design Company is seeking a Cabinet Installer with carpentry experience to hang, adjust and fine tune factory-made cabinetry. In this role, you install cabinets according to specifications under the direction of our lead installer. The main responsibility of this role is to provide the highest level of installation standards while maintaining a professional attitude with the utmost respect for the customer’s property. We expect all of our employees to maintain a clean workspace and take pride in their finished product. We will train on specific joinery details, processes and protocols. Duties and Responsibilities
Install cabinets according to written or verbal instructions
Follow blueprints to ensure quality of installation and correct placement of cabinets, trims, knobs, etc.
Maintain a safe jobsite and clean up the job site during & after installation
Maintain & take care of tools and equipment
Ensure attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding tools and client’s property
Participates in and demonstrates an understanding of safety principles and practices; follows all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment, including safe operation of machines and equipment
Cabinet Installer Requirements and Qualifications
Prior cabinet installation experience, 2-5 years
Carpentry and hand tool skills
Ability to use power tools (drill, jigsaw, table saw, etc.)
Required to have knowledge of basic cabinet installation with the ability to take accurate measurements.
Possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Criminal record check
Reliable transportation
Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings
Physical strength and stamina
Good communication / customer service skills / positive, professional attitude
Works well alone and with assistance
Be committed to learning and developing as a craftsperson
