Soil Seekers Landscape, a highly respected business of 25 years, is searching for a landscape crew member - a qualified individual who wants to be part of a professional team. We are not a large business, nor is that our goal. We pride ourselves in creating a high-end product for exceptional clients. That being said, this is not an entry level position! We are looking for someone who is interested in a full-time/long term position with the company. Someone who has a good attitude and enjoys landscape work. The ideal applicant will have the following qualities:
Applicant MUST have a valid CA drivers license and a CLEAN driving record.
Landscape maintenance experience:
- experience/knowledge with the operation of landscape machines and equipment (i.e. walk behind/ride on mowers, string trimmers, hedgers, chainsaws and blowers)
- general irrigation knowledge: lawn and drip irrigation systems
- general pruning experience
- general plant/tree identification
Landscape installation experience:
- skilled at cutting and fastening lumber
- familiar with jobsite conduct
- familiar with concrete forming and finishing
- familiar with stone work
General requirements include:
- must have multi-tasking capabilities - this is a fast paced work environment!
- ability to move materials (i.e. wheelbarrow throughout an 8-9 hour work day)
- be physically fit - landscape maintenance requires strength and endurance
- able to easily lift 80 pounds throughout the work day
- possess a high work rate with an eye for detail
- professional appearance and attitude
- truck and trailering experience
Communication skills:
- must be able to confidently communicate with clientele
- clarity with verbal and written communication: eye contact, detailed descriptions, etc.
- absolutely needs to work well with others and be a team player!
Additional information:
- this is a full time position: 40-45 hours/week with overtime
- 5 paid sick days/year
- 5 paid vacation days/year after 6 months of employment
- $1 raise after 90 day probationary period
- 3% 401(k) match option available
