ROCK DRILLER/EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
Kernen Construction is seeking a skilled rock driller/Equipment Operator. Experience with Sandvik Ranger DX800 or FlexiRoc T30 preferred. Must be able to execute precise drilling techniques to achieve desire hole depth, angle and diameter according to project specifications. Monitoring drilling operations and making adjustments as needed to maintain drilling efficiency and prevent equipment malfunction. Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during drilling operations. Must be able to perform routine maintenance on drilling equipment to ensure proper functioning. This may involve cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting machinery for wear and tear. Must be able to work alone or with a team. This job may involve physical labor, including lifting 50 lbs., standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions. Must have a strong safety background ensuing compliance with safety regulations and guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to equipment. Wearing appropriate PPE and maintaining a safe working environment are essential.
Qualifications may include relevant training in drilling operations, heavy equipment operation, and a strong understanding of safety protocols. It is also important to have good mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively. Must pass background check for handling explosives.
