Leon's Car Care Center, a family owned and operated automotive center (since 1961), is seeking an automotive maintenance technician. The Maintenance Technician will check fluid levels and make general repairs as necessary. The technician will also check the oil levels in cars and trucks, as well as the status of tires, air filters, windshield wiper fluid, brake fluid and engine coolant. Candidates should have a basic understanding of vehicle maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Change the vehicle's oil, check the transmission fluid and other fluid levels, inspect various belts, hoses and filters, and check tire pressures;
Responsible for tire rotations;
This job requires careful attention to detail and the ability to easily adapt to new technologies;
This job also requires writing up service reports for work done, so basic computer skills are a plus.
Requirements:
Qualified candidate will need to be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or the equivalent, and possess a broad range of automotive knowledge. A work history featuring experience in the automotive industry would be a definite advantage. No special training or certification is necessary. Candidates who are friendly, enjoy a fast paced environment and have a basic knowledge of how to use computers and other electronic devices is preferred. Current driver's license and clean driving record are a requirement of hire.
