This is a summer job for the most adventurous and generous person. If hired you will be my first hand in every aspect of my business... Red Door in Homer. Red Door Charters dot com, Red Door Lodging, Red Door Laundry all from the same location. You must love dogs... and be dedicated to selfless hard work, long hours and adventure and able to see the value gained besides the $100 a day guarantee. Here is what I'm hoping for... a people friendly outgoing person who can stay on task, work independently or side by side with me from start to finish. There will be little time for personal play, friends and nights out on the town. The job will include... waking early, keeping me on an exercise routine, scheduling/making healthy meals, reviewing and scheduling bookings for Charters and hotel/lodging, developing contact lists, calling and visiting/marketing business leads, keeping track of my to-do list, keeping me focused by handling the million small tasks that make it all work. You may be assisting me in boat repair, building rocket stoves, managing websites and marketing, painting a studio, changing bedding, gardening, going for coffee and supplies, talking to guests about all things Alaska/Homer, filing my business receipts and etc with my bookkeeper, being creative and engaging for the good of the business. And, if you are really successful at managing my time we may even start my dream of holding therapeutic wellness adventure trips for recovery and or couples... and again you could be vital in that process if you are interested in mental health and wellness. Bottom line - Your life will need to be put on hold in exchange for the adventure that comes with the dedicated hard work! We charter fish, we plan to hold Friday afternoon BBQ fish taco open houses all summer and need you to help plan and execute those BBQs. You will help secure live music for Friday's at OG Homestead - which you will help design and build out on our lot in Homer. We also have a Sherp (Google it - Sherpatv) on its way and I need you to help design adventure trips, participate on those adventure trips as first hand, you may also have the opportunity to be a deckhand on one of our charter boats (although not required for the job), or just go fishing once in a while. Only the hardiest need apply, I am a psychotherapist and a very generous person that needs a first hand assistant... but I can not afford to have you start strong and then decide you need more self-time. The summer is only 4 months so lets get cracking! Oh... and housing provided (negotiable), a shared vehicle if needed, and plenty of diverse action... just my action. This is about making my business successful not parting in Homer for the summer... there are other jobs for that...
