An Irrigation Company based in Imperial Valley has an opening for an Irrigation Technician.
The Irrigation Technician installs, repairs, and troubleshoots underground lawn sprinkler systems. The primary responsibility is to safely and efficiently complete irrigation service on properties assigned.
Duties to be performed:
Install, troubleshoot and repair many types, sizes and models of drip/ sprinkler systems, controllers and valves, including electrical troubleshooting of all the systems components.
Repair irrigation mainlines from leaks.
Set and maintain times on computer and electronic valve clocks;
troubleshoot computerized electronic systems, irrigation controllers,
solenoid valves, and heads of all types.
Assist with diagnosing and troubleshooting irrigation-related
problems.
Perform other duties, such as general grounds maintenance, as
needed or required.
Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must have knowledge of PVC installation and techniques and
understand basic pipe sizing and irrigation designs.
Must be able to repair or replace valves and mainline breaks.
Must have a positive attitude, patience, and good follow-through
skills.
Must be able to write, read and comprehend written and verbal job
instructions/information.
Must be able to establish and maintain effective working
relationships with vendors, clients, managers and team members,
and demonstrate strong teamwork skills.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
Must have valid state driver’s license and reasonably clean driving
record.
Compensation:
Hourly rate commensurate with experience. Gloves, hat and uniform shirt is provided.
