At Synthetic Genomics, Inc., we are dedicated to developing and commercializing genomic-driven solutions to address global challenges. We are currently seeking a Facilities Technician to join our fast-growing, dynamic and collaborative team in Calipatria, CA. Under supervision, the Technician will assist the facilities staff in routine support and logistics activities within the Phototrophic Systems Group.
Required Skills:
Assist in the maintenance and care of onsite water filtration systems.
Provide support in the completion of scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PMs) tasks.
Perform routine site checks in support of continuous cultivation activities.
Assist in the cleaning and preparation of various outdoor and indoor reactor systems for use.
Perform various plumbing and electrical repair and maintenance.
Adhere to a culture of health and safety.
Use of appropriate judgement for time management.
Required Experience:
High School Diploma or Associates Degree
Experience with Preventative Maintenance (PMs) and routine scheduled maintenance.
Fabrication and welding experience.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
Ability to read, write and follow written and verbal instruction.
Computer usage including Email, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Team-player who works well in a team-orientated environment.
Ability to work a schedule which may include weekends and overtime.
Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
