The Accounting Assistant will oversee aspects of financial reporting, including developing and maintaining accounting policies, assisting accounting staff, ensuring accurate and timely financial statement preparation, analyzing financial data, and complying with regulatory standards to provide strategic financial insights to the organization. In addition, the accounting assistant must be familiar with preparing and filing legal documents, including, but not limited to, filing taxes and insurance documents.
Key responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze accurate financial statements like balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, P&R reports
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist the budgeting process, setting financial targets and allocating resources across departments.
Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, assess performance, and make informed business recommendations.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to state and federal laws, and relevant accounting regulations and standards.
Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and identify potential issues.
