Position Summary-
The Cost Accounting Clerk provides detailed costing information to the CFO in all areas of production, researches and verifies actual labor and material costs of parts and equipment to insure accurate costing, provides variance reports, costing reports, and all necessary costing related activity.
Essential Job Duties
Provides support to customer service with make parts costing
Reviews make parts in stockroom area
Review similar jobs to determine the reason for variances
Works with sales department in the review of equipment pricing
Manage the cost accounting functions and standard cost system
Collect data to generate labor cost reports
Compare and contrast changes affecting production design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, and rate changes
Create reports comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products
Develop and improve the cost control methods and calculating costs
Take the initiative to investigate and solve problems
Work collaboratively with others and foster cooperative relationships and credibility at all levels of the organization
Generate a monthly Cost Shipment report
Adhere to ethical principles that reflect the highest standards of organization and individual behavior and comply with all government regulations
Perform other related duties as assigned
Hours 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
