Job Overview
The Construction Billing position is essential for managing the financial aspects of construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate billing, maintaining financial records, and supporting the overall revenue cycle management. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting and billing processes, particularly within the construction industry.
Duties
Prepare and process billing statements for construction projects in a timely manner.
Perform journal entries and maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks or similar software.
Collaborate with project managers to gather necessary documentation for billing purposes.
Ensure regulations with labor compliance and corporate accounting standards.
Assist in revenue cycle management by tracking payments and following up on outstanding invoices.
Provide support for public accounting tasks as needed.
Utilize 10 key typing skills to efficiently enter data and manage billing information.
Overseeing and managing accounts payable for subcontractors and vendors.
Requirements
Proven experience in construction billing or a related field is preferred.
Strong understanding of journal entries, account reconciliation, and corporate accounting principles.
Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is highly desirable.
Knowledge of labor compliance and public accounting practices is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
