We need an energetic & fun leader to make a difference in the lives of children by following the daily schedule; assisting with homework, planning activities, clocking children in & out. Communicate clearly and graciously with children, parents, and other staff regarding transportation, daily activities, incidents, and events. Adhere to licensing guidelines especially in regards to ratios, planning, and cleaning the center. Oversee procedures related to closing the center: light cleaning and organizing, disinfecting, securing buildings, etc.
Responsibilities:
-Supervise a group of students and a staff aide, maintaining ratios
-Assist with homework
-Plan and lead group activities related to the center themes
-Build and encourage positive relationships
-Follow cleaning/disinfection guidelines
-Secure the center grounds/ ensure safety protocols are being followed
Requirements:
12 units in Child Development/ or 240 experience hours working directly with children (6 unit hours minimum if still earning Early Childhood Units, along with 6 months experience in a classroom or childcare center)
High School Diploma and at least 18 years of age
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Clear a background check for DOJ/ FBI/ CACI
Pass a health screening/ TB test
Up-to date MMR and Tdap immunizations
First Aid and CPR certified preferred
Reliable and self motivated
