CRY-ROP is seeking a Video Game Design/Art of Animation teacher. The Video Game Design course explores the theory and application of gaming ideas and current design trends. Students will focus on the Video Game Design Industry and the basic components and processes required to produce an interactive video game. Graphic editing software will be used to design, create, format, and edit video games. The Animation program introduces students to animation through theory and hands-on training in art fundamentals, drawing, cartooning, and animation basics. It also includes an introduction to computer graphics imaging. Students will study art theory, composition, color, spatial concepts, rendering and animation, using creativity and imagination to convey ideas and tell a story. Class requirements also include career preparation skills such as job search, resume, job interview and communications skills. Proficient use of office equipment including a computer utilizing the Windows 10 operating system and assigned software applications including MS Office 2010 Suite, Adobe Creative Suite 6, and Maya 2016 is preferred. Experience with a public school is desirable. The successful candidate will have not less than three (3) years’ experience in the field and/or education and experience combined that meets the criteria. We will assist with the credential process, cost of which is approx. $265 for first time credential holders.
