JOB PURPOSE: Reports directly to the Plant Manager and is charged with maintaining a system to assure that all products manufactured by the organization meet customer specifications and achieve consistent superior quality using safe and legal manufacturing practices.
DUTIES:
· QA the development and implementation of a quality production program to ensure conformity of purchased material and final products to the highest quality standards.
· Revises and updates the Quality Assurance programs to incorporate statistical Assurances.
· Anticipate finding solutions to quality problems developing during any stage of the manufacturing process.
· Insure that products and facilities are maintained consistent with basic health standards and local, State and Federal regulations.
· Prepares for all SQF, AIB, Kosher and related audits
· Participate and assist with the research and development of new products and the improvement of existing products.
· Provide training and leadership necessary.
· Prepares all necessary reports as required by customers and staff
· Establish and maintain a suitable basic testing laboratory set-up.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
· Statistical analysis, precision measurement, and process capability studies will become an intricate part of the quality assurance program; therefore, formal education in these areas and the related courses, such as mathematics, statistics, and industrial practices, are essential for this position.
· Some quality assurance practices as they apply to individual unique products can be learned during on-the-job training, but overall capability in this discipline must be previously demonstrated.
