Claremont McKenna College is now hiring for an experienced dishwasher to join the dining hall team! Must have experience working in a fast paced commercial kitchen.
POSITION: Kitchen Utility Worker - Dish Room and Floors, REQ-573
Set up dish machine before the start of meal service, wash dishes in the dish room and keep tray return cleared during meal service, and break down and clean dish machine at conclusion of meal service.
Restock small wares in server/kitchen as needed. Assist as needed.
Wash pots and pans by hand in a three compartment sink.
Wipe down dining hall tables during meal service to ensure dining hall remains clean and tables are available for guests.
Sweep and mop the servery and kitchen floors. Remove, clean, and replace floor mats throughout the dining hall by hand as needed and at closing. Complete a thorough cleaning of all floors at closing each day.
Final emptying of all trash. Ensure loading dock remains clear of spills and debris.
Other duties may be assigned as appropriate. This includes daily, weekly, monthly cleaning, cross training as time permits.
REQUIREMENTS:
California food handler card is required.
Knowledge of food sanitation policies and procedures is required.
Graduation from high school, GED, or any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and ability.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, climb, push, pull, stoop, twist, stretch, squat, reach and lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist level without assistance.
OTHER:
The working hours are 40 hours per week, 5 days per week, or variable schedule based on business needs. Overtime, holiday, weekend, and evening work hours will be required.
The regular hours for this full-time position lines up with a 9 month academic calendar.
