About the Position:
We at J Holly Ranch are seeking a compassionate and reliable PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to provide as-needed clinical support for a gentleman in our Adult Residential Facility. The primary responsibility will be administering insulin injections and ensuring safe, accurate medication practices in accordance with state regulations and facility policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer insulin injections to residents per physician orders
Monitor blood glucose levels and document readings accurately
Assess for signs of hypo/hyperglycemia and respond appropriately
Maintain proper documentation in medication administration records (MARs)
Follow facility protocols and ensure compliance with Title 22 and licensing standards
Communicate any health concerns to the Administrator and healthcare providers
Provide brief clinical assessments as needed during visits
Ensure safe storage and handling of insulin and sharps
Qualifications:
Active and unencumbered California RN license
Current CPR certification
Experience with diabetes management and insulin administration (required)
Familiarity with ARF or similar residential care settings (preferred)
Ability to work independently and maintain professional boundaries
Compensation:
Competitive PRN rate (based on experience)
Paid per visit or hourly details discussed during interview
