Need female non-medical caregiver for 88-year-old woman who is recently disabled due to stroke. Must be at least 18 and speak English. No experience necessary – we will train you. Looking for a kind and patient individual to help care for our mom in our Woodcrest home (not a facility).
She needs help with:
Dressing
Transferring to a wheelchair or commode chair
Changing diapers
Showering
Preparing food – no cooking required – just working with her to see what she wants to eat from prepared food and getting it for her. She can feed herself.
Very light housekeeping (laundry and her room)
Companionship
Pay is $18/hr. This is an IHSS (In-Home Support Services) paid position. We are approved for 187 hours/month (46 hours per week). Provider will need to have a background check and fingerprinting done.
Car is required only to get to/from work as we are not on a bus line. No driving needed during the shift.
We are open to full or part time and can be flexible on days/hours to work but would prefer a 7am start time if possible.
We do have three dogs and a cat so if you have allergies this would not be a great fit. We can keep the dogs separate but the cat lives in her room.
