Position: Facilities Maintenance Technician
Location: Hemet, CA
Pay Rate: $25/hr
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Duties Include:
Notify Maintenance Supervisor or Association Manager of electrical repairs that require more attention than simple replacements like light bulbs or photocells.
Excavate trenches, mix, form, pour, and assist with concrete repair finishes.
Assist with landscaping tasks, including irrigation, planting, and watering.
Assist in setting up and arranging furniture and equipment for special events and meetings.
Support various maintenance trades including carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, roofing, stucco, and concrete.
Operate equipment such as power saws and tools related to building, plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, roofing, and concrete work.
Maintain records of work performed and materials used on work orders.
Prioritize repairs based on life/safety, functionality, and aesthetics, unless otherwise directed by Maintenance Supervisor or Association Manager.
Notify the Maintenance Supervisor or Association Manager immediately if a repair exceeds your skill set.
Keep golf carts clean and perform monthly battery checks.
Maintain a clean and organized work area at the Maintenance building.
Perform additional services or assignments as designated by the Maintenance Supervisor or Association Manager.
Use safety equipment related to job tasks, including ear, eye, and breathing protection, as well as protection from dangerous chemicals or fumes.
Collaborate with the maintenance team and support fellow employees in other job classifications working with minimal supervision and direction.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of:
Basic methods, techniques, materials, tools, and equipment used in maintenance, repair, and construction.
Safe working methods and procedures.
Ability to:
Skillfully use a variety of tools and equipment for one or more basic maintenance trades.
Perform heavy manual labor; lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Work at heights or in confined spaces; bend, stoop, squat, twist, reach, and grasp.
Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Communicate effectively and establish cooperative working relationships.
Experience and Education:
Any combination of training and experience equivalent to 1-2 years of recent experience in general construction or as a building trades helper.
License Requirement:
Possession of a valid California Driver’s License.
