Canyon Lake Community Church & Preschool is seeking to hire a full-time custodian to join our team! Our custodian crew is responsible for ensuring our facilities are clean, safe, organized, and operate efficiently. This includes daily cleaning & sanitizing, opening & closing of the grounds, setup & breakdown of events, safety checks & repairs, organization of our facilities and meeting compliance standards. These individuals play a crucial role in assisting and supporting our various ministries. Successful candidates carry out these duties with an exemplary heart of service for our community. They must be able to interact with and greet staff, guests, congregants, students, parents, and teachers in a helpful and pleasant manner.

Reports to: Administrative Pastor
Employee Status: Non-Exempt
Hours: F/T at 30 hrs + a week. Mon-Thursday with rotating Friday/Sundays
Pay: $16/HR - $18/HR (DOE)

Essential Job Functions
- Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, polishing and shampooing floors
- Washing walls, dusting, cleaning counters & ledges
- Window cleaning
- Bathrooms: cleaning, stocking and minor repairs
- Emptying trash and managing waste receptacles
- Dusting & cleaning offices, nurseries, gymnasium, chapel, sanctuary and common areas of our campus
- Cleaning various appliances and offices machines
- Set up and take down of class and meeting rooms
- Keeps grounds free of debris and trash
- Maintain proper stock and inventory of supplies
Physical Requirements
- Custodians may need to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs, such as furniture, cleaning equipment, and chemical containers. They may also need to manipulate chairs, tables, and other furniture without assistance.
- Custodians may need to stand, walk, and climb ladders continuously throughout their shift. They may also need to carry cleaning equipment, furniture, and other supplies around buildings, campuses, and up staircases.
- Custodians may need to bend, stoop, and stretch in awkward positions. They may also need to reach with their hands and arms.
- Custodians may also need to follow safety standards, such as identifying wet floors or closing down areas for cleaning or repair.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Basic computer skills to operate Outlook E-Mail and scheduling platforms comparable to Planning Center & Teams
- 2-3 years of related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to carry out minor repairs such as changing out light bulbs, fixing leaks, replacing fixtures, basic trouble shooting, etc.
- Experience and understanding in following SDS and similar hazard and chemical labels
- Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English
- Exhibit problem solving skills
- Exercise efficiency in time management & be a self-starter
- Execute tasks with attention to detail
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
