Job Title: Distribution Shipping & Receiving Lead
Job Summary
The Distribution Shipping and Receiving Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate and efficient preparation of shipments and receipt of all products and supplies. Dedication to precision and efficiency is paramount in executing these tasks. Furthermore, the Lead recognizes that maintaining a meticulously clean and organized warehouse environment is not only essential but serves as the cornerstone for achieving the core objectives of this position.
Duties and Responsibilities
Proactively complete customer orders, ensuring timely retrieval and staging, ideally with a one-day buffer before scheduled shipment dates.
Collaborate closely with the Sales & Logistics Coordinator to maintain and execute the Shipping Calendar, ensuring seamless operations.
Implementing the renowned 5S principles, organize and label all products and supplies, optimizing warehouse layout for maximum efficiency.
Thoroughly inspect incoming deliveries, checking for any damaged materials and ensuring shipment accuracy. Complete all requisite documentation, receive incoming materials, label them appropriately, and swiftly put them into stock.
Maintain pristine forklift and pedestrian pathways daily, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
Conduct regular inventory counts of products and supplies in coordination with the Sales & Logistics Coordinator and/or Distribution Warehouse Manager.
Uphold stringent cleanliness standards through daily cleaning and organization of the warehouse, yard, and shipping office, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment. Demonstrate exceptional proficiency in operating forklifts, prioritizing safety while efficiently loading/unloading freight vehicles and stocking products and supplies.
Actively communicate any discrepancies, inefficiencies, safety concerns, errors, or operational constraints to management promptly, enabling swift resolution and continuous improvement. Other duties as required by the Distribution Warehouse Manager and/or Operations Manager.
Hours & Requirements:
Full Time, hourly, non-exempt position.
7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday – Friday. Overtime may be required on occasion. Minimum 1 years of warehouse, shipping and receiving experience.
Minimum 1 year forklift experience.
Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.
Superb time-management and organizational skills.
Self-Starter and Self-Motivated.
On and off-site training may be required.
