Summary/Objective:
Assist the Operations Manager with the managing and coordination of all warehouse activities, operations, and staff to ensure conformance to established procedures; implement practices that improve the effectiveness and financial performance of the operation.
Essential Functions:

Oversee warehouse activities in support of operations including but not limited to receiving, storing, picking, and shipping materials.
Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements.
Maintains inventory by conducting monthly physical counts; reconciling variances; inputting data.
Ensures accurate and timely shipments and receipts. Moves inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from the warehouse.
Enforce established safety guidelines; promote a safe workplace.
Maintains accurate records and metrics, audits, as necessary.
Managing and ensuring the daily sales order releases are picked, packed, and shipped.
Processes returned, rejected, and obsolete shipments. Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; and recommending improvements.
Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement.
Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; and calling for repairs.
Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems in the work area.
Accomplishes warehouse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
Assigns duties and monitors quality of work; assures staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures and government regulations.
Provides day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates; actively works to promote and recognize performance.
Keeps up to date on the overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; and reading technical publications.
Performs other duties as assigned by the manager.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role provides oversight and direction to employees in the operations unit following the organization's policies and procedures.
Work Environment:
This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, and tape dispensers.
